warning: cannot close "/usr/lib/libidn.so.11": Invalid operation

Additionally my processes are becoming a defunct process after throwing error :

While I don't know much about Fedora or debug environments, a large number of packages seem to be missing on that system, but can be installed using debuginfo-install. Did you follow the suggestion in the error message!

While RHEL is derived from Fedora, they are not the same, especially if you haven't matched up the Fedora version that your RHEL was derived from.

Why not just build this program on Fedora in the first place?

Hi Chrism,

Currently i have compiled a code structure which is mounted on clearcase. And the server which we are using is REDHAT supported.

Complete code structure has around 5K files and around 60 to 70 make files.

If i compile on Fedora the i have to move the vob from REDHAT to FEDORA which will takhe around 1 Month time.

So, why Fedora?
If its just because its free, use Centos instead - its basically free rebuild of RHEL.
The odds of it working are much higher, although make sure you get the same version, inc minor update num...
IOW, if the original was built on RHEL 6.7, get Centos 6.7 not eg Centos 6.6 .
