First Mint 14, has not been supported since May, 2014 so no new software or security updates. If the second hard drive is on the same computer, that is not a network. You can mount the windows partitions from Mint and access them from Mint. Is this the same computer or two separate compupters.

2 hard drives on Linux Server and 3 other separate computers running Win7 or win10 -Going to use Linux machine for accounting and second drive as backup location for other 3 machines. What should I use since Mint is no longer an option. (I have already got the drive shared on mint machine - No Problem from that machine formatted and mounted) But cant get it shared over network-Have all computers in the same workgroup.

Sharing between Linux and windows systems is usually done with Samba. Never used it so no advice.

You could install a currently supported version of Mint. Most any Linux should be able to work with Samba.

Samba will work if you configure it correctly. What does your config file look like?

And Mint is an option, provided you're running a currently-supported version. Version 14 is not, but there have been several releases since then that are.
