Question Probs uninstalling linux

Hello,

I have a new workstation in place for just linux. So I decided to remove the RedHat 7.2 from my dual boot (with winxp home) and just have cygwin replace that. I reinstalled my entire windows with the softies provided by Sony. But apparently, the partition of 2.4 GB allocated frm the primary C: drive is still missing.

When I use fdisk, I do see that that there is 2.2GB missing and I am unable to restore it. Since my harddisk is only 20GB, I find it necessary to retreive the 2.2GB I have lost.

I would be glad if some nice could suggest me how to go about retreiving my lost hardie space

thanks in advance

deeps

disk manager should be able to handle any problems

if for some reason you have tried disk manager and it can't then get a linux boot disk and use fdisk to delete the partition.

I don't know it this will help, but try it:

what fdisk are you using? try making a linux boot disk and delete the partition w/ that, then boot a windows boot disk and create the new 2 gig partition w/ windows fdisk?

or maybe try out either of the "fips" or "parted" utilities... they may do what you want.

what I mean is disk manager in windows, does it not see the partition?
