problems with theme and background
 
I'm having trouble getting changes I make to by background image or theme to show up without logging out and logging back in. I can get my background to switch to the default background but not to anything else from that. I think I'm using Gnome and Nautilus in RedHat.
Does anybody know anything about this problem?

Never occured to me in Gnome. What version are you using of Gnome? Maybe a fix is out, considering this is a bug?
