Problems with System logger on Mandrake 9.2

Hi,

I'm a newbie. I just installed Mandrake 9.2 as a secondary OS. The main one is winXP on NTFS.
The installation was smoth, but after the reboot, and during the startup, I'm getting a message "Starting system logger: Cardmgr 971 exeecuting './ide start hde" and then the system freeze.

Any ideas what went wrong or how to fix the problem ?

Thanks

Most unlikely you won't have tried this but I had a similar problem and it worked allright the second time - i.e. on reboot.
