Problems with permission to save files using GUI

I am trying to get the Sound Recorder working but it cannot save the recording. Can you show me how to change permission to write using GUI ?

Many thanks.

A regular user can save/write files to his/her /home/user directory. Are you trying to save it somewhere else? If so, where? You can find the current permissions of the directory with this command: ls -l /home/user. Change /home/user to whichever directory you are trying to save to.

you can also view the file permissions from your file manager by clicking on the properties of that folder and going to the permissions tab. On my FC 20 machine using Nemo I can see the permissions on folders that I don't have permissions to as well as those that I do.
