SO the
What are the names of all the dependencies and packages that I need for xine and where can I find them??? I already have mplayer but I am having some problems playing dvd's of cartoon movies or anime, I dont know if I am not configuring it right or what but I can play every thing else but movies that have cartoons in them. Everytime I try to play them an error message comes up and says that it cant find or select the correct (vo) video output. So I think that I may want to give xine a try. Also, if its not too much to ask please list how to install and configure the program because from what I hear it is very hard to install, and configure.

when you installed mplayer, did you compile in ALL the required codec packages??
mainly win32 codecs. |
well, have you tried some different output plugins for mplayer? run this in a terminal:
#mplayer --vo help this will show all possible output plugins. I don't have experience with xine, mplayer runs smoothly here... greetinz, -= iluvatar =- |
how about you just post once please?, asking the same question more then once doesn't look good, especially in the same forum
|
go download the win32 pluggins for mplayer.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
