problems with kile and embedded file viewers

Hi there everyone, I have a problem using the software package kile. I installed it today, in order to write up some LaTeX stuff, and it works fine except for the embedded file viewers: it then gives an error such as

Couldn't find the DVI embedded viewer! please install kviewshell.

which I duly went and found an RPM for. Kviewshell then had a dependency for Kview.... I also found an RPM for kview, which I installed without a hitch, then installed kviewshell. Now, in my mind, kile should operate properly now, but doesn't, it keeps giving the same error.
My distro is Fedora Core 1, running on a PIII, 256mb RAM, 10GB linux partition.
My RPM installation line is: 'rpm -iv <package.rpm>'

Thanks!!!
