Hi,
I'm new to Linux (1 day of experience so far).
Please forgive me for my poor english too
Here are my problems (Mandrake 9.2)
I configured URPMI and downloaded Kmess (a msn messsenger client for kde). URPMI told me there were many other files required so it downloaded and install them too (265 MB of updates).
I realize that these updates updated my KDE from 3.1 to 3.2
I had 3 problems right after these updates (1 is solved)
1. The default font is too spaced horizontally. Menus were overlapping and many windows were unreadable. I fixed it by changing the 'sans' font for another in the settings. Weirdly, the 2 default fonts 'Sans' and 'serif' are the only ones that are spaced like that.
2. I now can't access the KDE theme manager. I get the following error
Library files for "libkcm_themes.la" not found in paths
3. The "Find Files" module seems broken (I know it wasn't before this update). When I search for a file in "file:/" it seems to scan my floppy disk forever (no disk is in the drive). Also, the 'Stop' button never gets enabled so all I can do is to close the window and getting a message that the window is not responding... Note that it works fine if I search in a particular subfolder on the HD.
Any idea or solution ?
