(I) Begin to setup the eGalax Touch driver.
(I) Extract eGalax Touch driver archive to /usr/local/eGalaxTouch64.
(I) Create eGalaxTouch utility shortcut in /usr/bin.
(I) Create TKCal tool shortcut in /usr/bin.
(I) Searching the X input modules directory.
(I) Removed eGalax Touch driver archive from /usr/local/eGalaxTouch64.
(I) Removed eGalaxTouch utility shortcut.
(I) Removed TKCal tool shortcut.
(E) No X input modules directory found.

Did you get it working? I am having the same problem with tx1000. I have tried the eGalaxTouch driver both on Fedora13 and Ubuntu 10.04.
While running the installer script it says "Found a HID compliant touch controller".
But after installation both say "No Touch Controller Found".
Running 'lsusb' lists eGalax TouchScreen device
Code:
lsusb
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 0eef:0001 D-WAV Scientific Co., Ltd eGalax TouchScreen
Xorg.conf file seems to have been discarded both in Ubuntu 10.04 & Fedora 13. This may be one of the reasons, as Ubuntu the touch drivers seems to have worked on Ubuntu 8.04 as per most forums on internet.
