problems with ./configure command ("no accectable cc")

wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/Configure_script

I got Linux Redhat 8 with a computer magazine a while ago, with a CD with Linux programs following. So now I have Redhat installed and I check out the programs on the CD. "Oh, Centericq, that sounds fun", I think, so I read in the magazine how to install .tar.gz files.
I unzip the files. Then the magazine says: "Now run the command "./configure".
But when when I do, Konsole says:
Code:
creating cache ./config.cache
checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes
checking for working aclocal... missing
checking for working autoconf... found
checking for working automake... missing
checking for working autoheader... found
checking for working makeinfo... missing
checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnuoldld
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH
What to do?

I think you will have to install the packages under the Developments(or Developers?) categories to install the compilers and necessary libraries. It should be on the CDs.
