Problems with CD Rom drive...

I tried to mount my CD Rom drive and got this response:

"mount: can't find cdrom in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab"

I did see the CD Rom drive briefly after I upgraded from 10.04 to 10.10 but I couldn't access the drive and when I logged back in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can you post your /etc/fstab? Also, does the drive show up in /var/log/syslog?

I'm not sure if this helps but here's the whole thing...

sorry, I forgot the fstab:

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# Use 'blkid -o value -s UUID' to print the universally unique identifier
# for a device; this may be used with UUID= as a more robust way to name
# devices that works even if disks are added and removed. See fstab(5).
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
proc /proc proc nodev,noexec,nosuid 0 0
/dev/sda1 / ext4 errors=remount-ro 0 1
/dev/sda5 none swap sw 0 0
