problems with 'startx' on slackware


I recently installed slackware to do some c++ programming on *nix, after installing i ran xf86cfg, the gui version of xf86config, to setup x, after saving my configurations, i tried 'startx', which failed with the error 'no screens present' any help would be appreciated

Hardware used and if you can post your XF86Config file? And xf86config to me works better than the Text Based GUI version.

also make sure it saves to /etc/X11/XF86Config
