Unhappy Problems playing CD's...

I tried to listen my Dream Thether cd with Gnome CD player, then with Grip and finally with XMMs, but all of them just showed correct amount of songs, their correct names but there was no sound.
My sound card has to be correctly configured, because I can listen to .ogg's and .mp3's. Maybe I don't have .wav support for some reason?
Gnome CD player told me "CD playback device" is "/dev/cdrom", should I change that to /mnt/cdrom???

There is a plugin for XMMS cd-read I guess, ah here it is http://www.xmms.org/plugins_search.h...h&query=cdread
it allows you to read Audio CD's without hassle
