Problems installing VB in old version of Mint
 

I am trying very hard to upgrade a Mint 10.10 but get refusals due to graphics chip problem.
Trying to add Virtual box as a way out, but getting an "installation requires two packages error"
When trying to access these then get a "404" error from download site.
Where do I go from here? Quite prepared to throw the damm machine out!!!!

If you are actually referring to Linux Mint 10 (Julia), support ended in April, 2012 as seen at the Mint web site which would account for the 404 error:

The link below should be useful for further upgrades of Mint. Linux Mint 13 is LTS and will be supported for 5 years.
