Problems installing SUSE 9 via smb network install

Hi all at LQ! This is my first post so I hope I'm asking this right..

I've been trying to install suse 9 on my P3 box, using theri network installation. I had no sucess with their FTP network install, so I downloaded the entire "\suse\i386\current" directory on another box running winXP. After booting with the boot.iso CD, I load the network card module (realtek8139) & select network install. Then I select samba as network protocol & enter the IP address of the windows box(192.168.0.2) and when prompted insert the share name on the win box(current).

At this point it finds the share and starts downloading the GUI installer ('loading data into ramdisk 46760K'), it loads Yast fine, but when it comes to selecting the packeages to install, it does not find any available ('source disk corruption?')

Please help me I'm going mad here!!
Thanks,
TD
