Problems Installing Slackware 8.1


ive got an old
Compaq 166mhz
32mb ram
4gb hd and i am trying to install Slackware 8.1
completely clueless as to how to do this.. im trying to do this so that my employies can learn on it ..

ive got slackware 8.1 on cd it says i need to mount the disk.. but what do i mount it as?? what file system

now it is telling me that i have a read only file system... any ideas...

I don't know if this helps (and I'm much more of a newbie than you), but when you mount a CDROM it tells you that it is read-only because, obviously, you can't write to a CDROM without a burner.

i wasnnt mounting the cd...
i was mounting the hd.. found the problem... Bios Auto Partions the drive for you...~.~ so no luck with that machine.. no go
