did you go to pup forum. did you compile it on puppy or was it a pet download little info please. why not use the one already installed on puppy and which puppy there is many of them I am using beta pup and 412 etc etc. in puppy you need the devx_412.sfs and the kernel-src-2.6.25.15-patched-puppy412.sfs then open the system then boot option tell it to load those folders at boot and now you can compile limewire. but if your running puppy412 it already has a file sharing program good luck all this is in your puppy help file just click the web browser and go to the tutorials.

Lightbulb Install Limewire

You need to search through the add programs or synaptic and find and install gdeb files, then you can right click on the zipped file, select open with gdeb, then click on the install box at the bottom of the window. You will have to enter your admin password. It will probably say that the install failed, but it will install. You need to have Java installed first, which you can also find in the add programs. Limewire will then work but the problem I am experiencing is that the limewire.deb package is reported as broken because it is looking for PDK Java 7, and then the add programs will not work. You have to use synaptic to uninstall limewire, then everything works again. Pain in the ass to have to install and uninstall Limewire each time you want to use it. If anyone knows a fix, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks Drakeo, I didn't even look at the date. I have a Debian version and I am having problems in that I have to install Limewire when I need to use it then unistall to keep the add programs working. If you have any fixes for this, I'm interested.
