I am fairly new to linux so please go easy on me...
computer:
mobo asus p4p800dx with VIA raid controller
CPU P4 2.8G
2X SATA seagate Baracuda 120Gb in a RAID 0
DVDR plextor + LG DVD drive
1024 mb RAM 400 mhz dual kit
Now, I try to install Linux FEDORA CORE 1 and as I thought, it doesn't see my RAID... I load the installer as "linux dd", i pick "RAID controller - VIA Technologies" and I press next, next...
I get as far as picking a mouse, and it says that there is no drive available to install Linux. The thing is also that I partitioned my raid wiht PM8 and I created a 30 Gb EXT3 partition on it... (to run my 'puter as a dual boot wwith win XP pro on the other partition in NTFS) what am I doing wrong here??
I feel your pain I have a DFI ultra infinity mobo w/silicon image 3114 controller and there is no driver to select from a drop down list and it looks like I'll have to compile my own kernel but your in luck I would download fedora2 test core 3 and see if that finds your hard drives

You will notice that your two open threads have been merged.
In future, if you feel your question is not getting the attention it deserves you should reply to your own thread giving more information: such as what you have tried and which errors you receive.
