Problems installing Fedora 10 on iMac G3

I'm currently trying to install Fedora 10 PPC version onto my old iMac DV and am stuck. The install process runs smoothly, and at the end of it I have the option to reboot the computer. I press the reboot button onscreen but on starting up again the install DVD is booted up again, and I am invited to start the install process. I am supposed to type what I want to start but there is only one option, which is "linux". I do that and the install program starts again! I don't know how to boot up the actual OS I have just installed - I seem to be going around in circles.

Is there a way to get out of this? I can't eject the DVD because there is no eject button (its a slot loading mac). And I don't see a screen where I can choose what to boot.

Help!

MyThingsDoNotOwnMe:

Does your computer provide a BIOS setup prompt? It is there that you can set which drive to boot. I am not familiar with mac. In most PC's it is accessed through pressing F2 or F10 or F11.

Also observe, usually in the final part of the installer an option is given to click or choose to "unlock" the dvd installer driver for it to eject.

hope this helps.

there is not unlock option at the end of the installer as far as I know.
