Problems connecting winxp to RH9 samba server
 

I installed samba and everything that goes with it, and swat.
I can see my winxp shares with no prob, but I can't access swat
through localhost:90 nor can I see my linux shares from xp.

What sould I do

I tried linuxconf to add hostname and workgroup name
according to the documentation and O'riley's book but that
has yet to help.

Please Help...

I don't have a clear picture of what's happening, or not, oon your system, but you might want to take a look at /etc/samba/smb.conf

I am currently looking at the smb file and everything seems intact but how do I make sure it is, is there anything extra that needs to be done on the win xp side? I've restarted both machines et...
why would i not be able to access swat in the first place?
that's what's not happening, I installed swat and restarted do you have to you need to configure swat to get it to wok or do you just open your browser and configure samba with it?

I will go through step by step any advice thats given!
