problem with x server
i have a problem with my x server in fedora 6, the x server dont run, this happens everytime i boot

It would REALLY help if you could tell us what the error(s) might be that are causing the X server to fail.
Check the log file in /var/log/xorg.0.log for useful info. For one thing, you have no screen resolutions specified in your SCREEN section, but that may not be the only thing wrong. Check the log and provide us more info. SVA |
Does your old xorg.conf file works? it should be /etc/X/xorg.conf.backup (or similar)
Try replacing device section in old file by the one in the new one. You should check also that the modules "GLcore" and "dri" are not loaded. And add the command to load the "glx" module. check also man 5 xorg.conf man nvidia-xconfig |
