problem with update to 12.10, apt-get/dpkg problems.
Hi,
I did a system update to 12.10 from 12.04. I think the process got interrupted or something because now every time I try to run dpkg --configure -a, apt-get upgrade, or try to install new packages, I get the following error(s) 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 2 not upgraded. 488 not fully installed or removed. Processing was halted because there were too many errors. E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) near as I can figure out, all the packages that don't install are missing python3 dependencies, but I can't force them to install. |
Did you follow the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QuantalQuetz...untu_12.04_LTS ?

hi RH,
Yes, as I mention, I believe that the install was interrupted. I can't upgrade or install new packages because of a problem with python3. I can't force install and I can't upgrade. so, I assume. my only option is a reinstall |
