Unhappy Problem with the network card, I think

Hi all,

I just installed RedHat 9 in an old pc, and when it tries to use the network it just hangs, it gets completely block so hard that I have to turn off the electricity manually.

As it seemed like the old network card didnt work, this one I'm using is completely new, and I've tried to put it into two different PCI slots (I thought it could be because of a problem in the moderboard). But it is still the same, maybe its a problem with configuration or any other peripheral??

Do any of you have a clue of what should I try next?

Thanks a lot // Tusind tak // Muchas gracias

Thanks Pablete for the answer, but I finally found the problem: The graphics card was configured to have 32Mb but only has 16Mb. Now it's working perfect. I don't know why the system was hanging when I tried to use the network card, but I guess it has something to do with wrong memory allocation.

Kind regards from
