Problem with Sound in slackware 12.1
 
After installing slackware for around two months, suddenly there is no audio/sound playing. i tried to configure with alsaconfig but it dint work,can anyone suggest me how to rectify the problem?

Don't know if this is your case, but when i start Kde whith a user then logout and start it with other user, i get no sound at all and have to reboob.

Did you, (or automatically) upgraded the kernel recently ? What kernel does Slackware 12.1 uses ?
