Unhappy Problem with screen sommand under normal user

Hi.

I'm new here and also I'm new to linux

I'm trying to use screen command for my VPS CentOS 6.2 (screen ver.4.0.3-16.el6.i686)but as a normal user the screen just close.

1-logged in as my normal user using ssh client
2-typed in “screen” and hit enter
3-console went blank for 5 seconds
4-previous content returned, along with “[screen is terminating]” and my normal command prompt.

Screen didn’t work for any regular users, however it did work for root.
Please remember I'm a linux total newbie

Thanks
