Angry Problem with rpm database in fedora core 2

As posted in other threads, I also have a problem with the rpm database.

In these other threads the answers, more or less recommend:

delete the __db files in /var/lib/rpm
do the command rpm -vv --rebuilddb

but, in my case, I don't have found any ___db files or with similar name in /var/lib/rpm, but I tried to make rpm -vv --rebuilddb. It works for a several time, but ends with a "segmentation fault" whitout any other message or code.

These are the last output lines:

D: adding "emacs-common" to Name index.
D: adding 1256 entries to Basenames index.
D: adding "Applications/Editors" to Group index.
D: adding 20 entries to Requirename index.
D: adding 2 entries to Providename index.
D: adding 37 entries to Dirnames index.
D: adding 20 entries to Requireversion index.
D: adding 2 entries to Provideversion index.
D: adding 1 entries to Installtid index.
D: adding 1 entries to Sigmd5 index.
D: adding "c8801c78cf1fbbbd922b86db72e01a2ce544ca18" to Sha1header index.
D: adding 1256 entries to Filemd5s index.
D: read h# 705 Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 4f2a6fd2
D: +++ h# 339 Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 4f2a6fd2
D: adding "kdeedu" to Name index.
D: adding 1742 entries to Basenames index.
D: adding "User Interface/Desktops" to Group index.
D: adding 54 entries to Requirename index.
D: adding 12 entries to Providename index.
D: adding 128 entries to Dirnames index.
D: adding 54 entries to Requireversion index.
D: adding 12 entries to Provideversion index.
D: adding 1 entries to Installtid index.
D: adding 1 entries to Sigmd5 index.
D: adding "858b9059679ba98ab25b6c4e508fbda756fa28ba" to Sha1header index.
D: adding 1742 entries to Filemd5s index.
Segmentation fault
#

I don't think that the problem is in the kdeedu package, due that in other tries the last name of the package was different, whith the same result.

Any ideas?

Sorry for my bad English.

Regards.

Is it possible for you to update your RPM packege? It should never do a Segmentation Fault.

Edit: It wasn't clear. There's an 'rpm' package in RPM format.

Yes, is possible. And seems that's OK. But if I try to do "rpm -qa", this is the output:

[root@klingong root]# rpm -qa
error: rpmdbNextIterator: skipping h# 719 Header V3 DSA signature: BAD, key ID e42d547b
error: rpmdbNextIterator: skipping h# 719 Header V3 DSA signature: BAD, key ID e42d547b
....
in many lines.

So you've got broken rpm or broken database (or both). I'd try to install new package with rpm and then rebuild the database.

Now, I installed a new package and all was OK. But rebuilding the rpm database I get another segmentation fault! :-(
