problem with Qt while installing Kppp

Trying to install Kppp I get at some point:
"checking for Qt...configure: error:Qt>=1.42(libraries) not found"
and the installation process stops. However qt-1.42-3rh51.i385.rpm
has already been installed. What should i do?

Check to make sure that Qt 1.42 has really been installed with:
rpm -qi qt

If it has then install kppp using rpm with the nodeps option:
rpm --nodeps -i qt-1.42-3rh51.i385.rpm
