problem with output of ' top -n 1 ' command


Hi

I am new to linux ..i tried executing the following command top -n 1 | head -4 | tail -2 >t.t
when i try opening the t.t file :the contents of the file are not as displayed on standard output..its gets encoded (maybe space is encoded or something).i need to display the output in a html file via a perl script, but in standard format...kindly help

hello , am getting this
# cat t.t

I dont found any encrypted format.
