problem with outlook express use proxy in fedora 10

Hello

I am saravanan from kadaladi.I can not send mail when i am using proxy server in fedora 10 linux.please tell me anybody if have any idea.........

assumign this is squid, squid is a web proxy, not a mail proxy. you do not proxy pop3 / imap traffic, you'd generally directly route to it.

If your entire network is behind a proxy like mine then you will need a transparent proxy configuration or else you will need to configure your email client to use the proxy server. This is what I faced when I configured my first proxy and it wasnt configured in transparent mode and hence no emails in outlook and thunderbird.
