Problem with Oprofile using Vmware on ARM9 board
 
Hi

I am currently trying to integrate Oprofile on our system
The specifications of the system are as follows
Target : armv5tejl
Host: Vmware on i586
Linux version: 2.6.32-rc2
Oprofile version : 0.9.3

What i would like to know is
1. Are there any extra packages(utilities) that i should have for oprofile to work on my system?
2. Please tell me if there is a tutorial or something so that i can use it to configure the environment.

Could you please specify:

(1) The linux distribution and version (eg. Fedora 12; SUSE 11.2; etc.) under which VMWare is installed (the host operating system)?

(2) The operating system you are running under VMWare (the guest operating system)?

I am using Ubuntu 9.04 using Vmware on Windows XP.
