You miss the headers of the libXmu runtime libraries. Install the devel package of libXmu and the trick is done:
Code:
yum install libXmu-devel

Are you running a x86_64 kernel? What is the output of
Code:
yum list zlib
?

'ns-allinone-2.33' is a package collection :
cweb(-3.64?), dei80211mr-1.1.4, gt-itm,
nam-1.13, ns-2.33,
otcl-1.13, tclcl-1.19, tcl8.4.18, tk8.4.18,
xgraph-12.1, zlib-1.2.3,
which are all compiled 'in one run' with the command './install'.

So you already did compile 'nam-1.13' in the "alinone" package.
Starting to compile it seperately without zlib-devel installed :
you will probably have to do : 'make clean' to make it compile,
when zlib-devel is installed.

I just tried other ways to trick it to make errors on CentOS5.2 :
impossible !
................
If you want to use 'ns-allinone' as a stand alone NS, a separate
nam is not required.
However : An ns and a nam installed to /usr/local/ are much easier
to use, the path's are already given. For this you will need :
1) # yum -y install tcl-devel tk-devel
2) otcl-1.13 and tclcl-1.19 installed to /usr/local/
............. 1) and 2) : it can all be done in two minutes .
.....
