Problem with MPlayer
 

I have downloaded MPlayer from http://www.mplayerhq.hu, installed it successfully, I can play video files by command: mplayer moviefile.avi
The problem is that these is no sound, (sound is working in realplayer, also in bash cell when I press tab, tab, tab, I hear sound). Further more, I want GUI version of MPlayer, I did all things which is mentioned on site, but couldnot start MPlayer in GUI mode.

To enable the gui in Mplayer - you need to do the following

./configure --enable-gui and then continue with make and make install.

I just finished installing Mplayer myself and then had to do the enable-gui bit.

How can I uninstalled previous installation of MPlayer from source file?
 

I did that but still I could not start GUI version of MPlayer, or see and shortcut to click anywhere which command you give to play GUI version of MPlayer.

Thanks I got it it is working, before I installed it from source file.... Again I install the RPM version of MPlayer, it work fine, sound video, and GUI.

How can I uninstalled previous installation from source?

if you type gmplayer into a console, what happens?

did you install a skin and fonts?
