problem with lancard

hi i have problem with network card, actually i installed dual OS XP and RH VER 5.0, in XP i can browse through internet, where as in linux am not able to browse because its not detecting the lancard, i have Compaq Presario v6715 note book i hope someone will help me out for this problem

We'll need to know the model of the ethernet card. The command 'lspci' should list the PCI hardware you have and we can see what it is. Also, how do you connect to the internet? Do you have a router? Is it a DSL connection?
