Problem with Conexant HSFi Modem

Dear all,

I have Open SUSE 10.2 installed on my PC with windows XP.Open SUSE does not recognize my Conexant HSFi Modem.I get the cnxtinstall.run file from the Linuxant.com,I stored it on one of my windows partitions before I install SUSE,now after installation completed i can find the file on the windows partition but I do not know how to complete the instructions given at Linuxant.com.
I followed the instructions,I went to Konsole. But I could not complete cause I do not know where to put the driver file and i also do not know how to use the "cd" command to locate it to complete the installation and use the "sh" command.
Please help me doing this.
Thanks for all of u.

One very good suggestion would be to visit the site link below. In the first sentence is a highlighted link called "archives" where you can browse these archives from today back to way back when, you may find a related thread with the answers. I'm not sure which modem that is exactly, but do know derivers need to be compiled, which means you must have kernel-source or kernel-headers installed. They also have a small downloadable tool called scanModem with a link to info and download link on that page also, when used, it will tell you exactly what you need to do. It may tell you SUSE has pre-compiled drivers or a script as you seem to suggest you have, in which case you need kernel-source, it may also come back and tell you where to get the proper source for compiling. In any event, this tool will give all necessary/needed info.
