Problem with a recently partition

Hi everybody,

In a 40GB SATA H.D.D have I installed Linux Enterprise AS 4. Sm space was left unpartitioned for future use. Recently I created a new partition let's call dev/sda12 with fdisk.
When I try to mount it I get:
mount: can't find /dev/sda12 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab

What else should I do?

Hi,

If an entry is not present in the fstab you need to add it to the fstab file or mount it manually with all options.

Something like: mount -t <fstype> /dev/sda12 /mountpoint/sda12

See man mount and man fstab for details.

PS: Do not crosspost!
