You have an old version of Ubuntu (11.10) but vsftpd should be there. Can you provide the output of
Code:
apt-cache search vsftpd
?

Again I am building an operating system,In the middle of installation I see the following message:

network autoconfiguration failed
your network is probably not using the DHCP protocol.alternativaly, the DHCP server may be slow or some network hardware is not working properly.
