Where is libX11.so.6?
Code:
find /usr -name libX11.so.6Code:
echo /usr/X11R6/lib >> /etc/ld.so.confCode:
ldconfig |
i can't find it
i can't seem to find that file libX11.so.6 should it been installed when the rest was? i did a full install and it didn't say any errors, could it be the kernel? i'm using the test26 one?
should i start again did i chose something i shouldn't of? |
It doesn't look like a kernel problem. It should have been installed with everything else, but it looks like something's gone wrong. Do you have libX11.so.6.2 (it should be in /usr/X11R6/lib)?
Also, you should create a normal user account and use that for logging into a GUI. Only use root when you need to, it's safer that way. |
