Problem Sound In MKV and OGG Format

I Install Open Suse 10.3 in my Laptop. I changed the Alsa soundcard driver to OSS because of hangs. The problem is .OGG sound format cannot be played it always said Sound Format Not Supported. I have tried to install all the libraries regarding the OGG format (libogg, liboggz, xinelib, etc) but still no clue.
The Second problem is when I play .MKV video with Xine and Kaffeine it can play but no sound at all.
What should I do?
(Sorry if my english bad)

you probably need to install 'libvorbis' to solve both your problems. ogg and matroska (.mkv) are just container formats, not media codecs. The matroska file probably contains vorbis encoded sound.

I have the same problem with Mandriva 2007. I have never been able to play MKV files with Mandriva. I have the libvorbis installed, but what do I need to do to make it work? I have Kaffeine, Xine, MPlayer, & VLC installed & none of them seem to play the sound. Thank you for any help you can provide.

I already install libvorbis but still cannot play OGG format and play mkv format without sound.
