problem shutting down

Hi there, Im having a little trouble shutting down my system;

After clicking Shutdown (or Restart) the system gives me the usal report as it stops everything and goes well until It gets to this:

"unmounting NFS filesystems: cannot MOUNTPROG RPC: RPC: Program not registered
unmount2: Device or resource busy
unmount: /net: device is busy [FAILED]"

and then it just stops and I have to switch of my PC to restart it.

Can anyone give me advice on how to fix this.

Thanks a lot for any help you can give.

Brian

Do you need NFS? Maybe you can just turn it all off?
