Problem Installing Icons Themes In Gnome 2.2 with RH9

Hello, I've just installed RH9, everything works great... really great, except when I'm trying to install new Icon themes!
I've downloaded few icons themes at art.gnome.org but when i try to apply them in the control center, they don't show up in the choose box.
I noticed that using the install feauture the icons are not copied in the .icons dir, but in .theme, i've also tried to copy them manually in .icons, but no luck.
I've also tried that as root... but nothing again.

Can someone please help me? I'd love to use the scalable gorilla icons....

Thanks in advance....

i'm on rh8.0, but had the same problem so this might help.

in any nautilus window, choose edit, preferences. the appearence option is for themes. adding it there changed the icons. the window border for gorilla is in gnome menu, preferences, theme.

hope it works in rh9

Thanks but I'm using Nautilus 2.2.1 and there isn't anymore the option to change the themes in nautilus preferences. It seems that now everything is controlled by the Gnome Control Center...

can any tell me how to install an icon set. (specifically scalable gorilla if there is any special considerations for vector graphic icons)
i can get some gtk controll and window themes to work, but no icons.
and is there access to the controll center (gnomecc) in redhat?
