Problem installing chrome

Let me begin by saying I am a complete noob to linux; I've only been running it for about half an hour. I just installed elementary OS on a fresh hard drive after a windows failure and am having trouble figuring out how to do even the most basic task, install chrome browser. I'm not sure if this is a permissions issue or what, but any input would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hi...

Welcome to the forum

Although a bit old, do the instructions here help? There is also a video tutorial (with written instructions) here.

Regards...
