Problem in updating nfs-utils using tar ball :Error /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lldap


Hi ,
Operating System Centos 5.8

I have been trying to upgrade nfs-utils-1.2.7 getting below error

Download from below location

http://sourceforge.net/projects/nfs/files/nfs-utils/

tar -zxvf nfs-utils
./configure --Gives me below error



checking for Kerberos v5... configure: error: Kerberos v5 with GSS support not found: consider --disable-gss or --with-krb5=
me: ./configure --disable-gss

Then

./configure --disable-gss .Get ride of me above error

make -Throws me below error

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lldap
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: * [idmapd] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/nfs-utils_tarfile/nfs-utils-1.2.7/utils/idmapd'
make[1]: * [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/nfs-utils_tarfile/nfs-utils-1.2.7/utils'
make: * [all-recursive] Error 1


Required help how can i upgrade nfs 1.2.7 using tar ball (or) else help me which external repository .I can get the latest nfs version

if you are using cent, do not try to update from a tarball, update via yum. problem should be solved with that.

'lldap' means libldap.so

yum provides */libldap.so

# yum install openldap-devel
