When you installed 'vlc', you also got a lot of
codecs installed. ( Matroska, theora, a52dec etc.)

Rhythmbox is a "gstreamer" application,
and will look for those names.

Please start with # yum install gstreamer-plugins-good
I.e. : Some changes were made : new package names ...

Hi,

the o/p of: yum install gstreamer-plugins-good,

[root@Home Manish]# yum install gstreamer-plugins-good
Loaded plugins: presto, refresh-packagekit
Setting up Install Process
Package gstreamer-plugins-good-0.10.23-1.fc12.i686 already installed and latest version
Nothing to do

i guess the gstreamer good is already installed,i get a message when i try to play a song saying ID3 TAG DEMUXER but when i search for that specified file it says the file cannot be found.

Kind Regards,
