Problem in Resolution
Is there a way that i can modify the resolution aside from using xf86config and xf86cfg. I used them but after saving the configuration and run the xwindow it seems to be the same problem occurs. Please help me! Thanks.

You can edit them by hand by using a text editor. You can also post your error to the forum, and somebody should be able to help you. :)

deoren, I don't think if there is a error message the only error I got is that my monitor does'nt display correctly. Please tel me how can I edit by hand using text editor i'm new in linux please help me guys.

Find out what model monitor you have, and check it vs. their database. If you can't find it there, do a Google search, and you're likely to find it. Make sure your details match up. I know I've had many problems like what you speak of. There is also a way to shift through different resolutions dynamically using a certain combination of keystrokes, but I don't remember what they are. A forum search may turn up something on that.
