Smile problem in instaling rhel 4


Hi friends!
iam very much new to linux i want to learn it starting from installation i got a msg " no devices are found in your system"
while it asking to select about auto partitioning.
actually i left 70gb as unpartitioned space for linux
and also it is asking me "add device" and showing a list of drivrs
can any one help me please

It sounds like the installer cannot detect your hard disk controller. How recent is your system? What sort of disks do you have and how are they configured/connected to the system?

first i thanku my dear friend
and i have intel "D95----" mother board with dual core processer
and i got 4cd's of rhel and one more thing i am using 250gb hard disk 160gb for windows-xp i did not understand about disks connecton configuration
