You don't tell us what version/distro of Linux you're using, so there's not much we can tell you. The message you're getting indicates that you have a missing library, and it's telling you what it is. Since it's missing, you obviously need to INSTALL IT. How you do that depends on your version/distro of Linux, but you can probably go through your package manager, and install it from the online repositories.

As TBOne said, it's hard to help with so little information about your system. You need to install a package that may be called libxerces-c3.1 or something along those lines.

Hi,

assuming your repos that you have set up contain the relevant package you can find the package name with:
Code:
yum provides '*/libxerces-c-3.1.so'
The you can install the page (as root) with the command
Code:
yum install <package name>
Where "<package name>" is the name of the package that you discovered using the first command.

What was the command you issued that gave you the error message quoted above?

The commands evo2 gave you will NOT generate those messages. As others asked, what did you type in?

Please read the LQ Rules. You have hijacked someone elses thread with your own question, which is against the rules. You need to open your OWN thread for your own question.

And asking about Mac's on a Linux forum is like asking about Windows on a Mac forum...this isn't the place. Mac is unix based (now), but there are MAJOR differences. If you have Mac related questions, you really need to post on a Mac forum.

Ok, that looks like the output of "yum provides", so it seems the package is not available. I know that the epel repo has xerces-c packages, but I don't know if it will have the exact version you need. I think it is time you tell us about your geant4 binaries. Where are they from? What system were they built on? Is there any associated documentation?
