Problem in enabling desktop effects on fedora 8.

I'm using Fedora 8 on my laptop with config...AMD Athlon-64X2 processor with 2GB RAM and "nVidea 6150 Go" graphics card with 128MB shared graphics memory. While installation of Fedora 8 I had left 512MB of swap space. My problem is I'm facing a lag while using Fedora * and I could'nt enable desktop effects. Moreover during startup occasionally it wont display the mouse pointer but it recognizes the touchpad... Someone help me to fix this plz....

You need to install AND configure NVIDIA proprietary drivers. Please see Fedora documentation for this, as I don't know how to do this in Fedora.
