Hi Shanky, you need to install the libns3-dev package.

I think some of the files in ns-allinone-3.11/ns-3.11/ got new names.
(The test file you are using can be from 2009 :
http://www.nsnam.org/workshops/wns3-...s3-lowlevel.cc )

Example : Text in ns3/simulator-module.h .... is now in "core-module.h" ?
http://groups.google.com/group/ns-3-...e3f44db6a42342
..... But then again, I found no "core-module.h" in ns-3.11.
( And : the directory "ns3/" is empty in the later versions of ns3.)

You will simply have to use Google to find the "news" :
1) Google .. ns3/simulator-module.h ..
2) Google .. ns3/node-module.h ..
3) etc. etc.

The "development version", 'ns-3-dev' http://www.nsnam.org/ns-3-dev/download/
> 'hg clone http://code.nsnam.org/ns-3-dev' : None of the headers are present.

OK, the headers appear, when you have built ns3 :
You will also have to build "examples".

cd ns-allinone-3.11/ns-3.11/ &&
./waf -d debug --enable-examples --enable-tests configure && ./waf

Headers : ns-allinone-3.11/ns-3.11/build/debug/ns3/<files.h>
( The count is 583 files.h ! )

Tutorial : http://www.nsnam.org/docs/release/3....tml/index.html

There are no ns3 packages for any Linux OS.

It is all "do it yourself". EDIT : See posts #7 #8.

# 7 @jdkaye : Thank you.
NS3: That's a relatively new thing, starting with Debian Squeeze.
http://packages.debian.org/sid/ns3
http://packages.debian.org/sid/libns3-3
http://packages.debian.org/sid/libns3-dev
→ → Only the 581 headers can be used in Fedora 11.
The file lists are available in the links :
Easy to create Fedora 11 rpm packages from the ns.3.11 build result.

One comment : gns3 has nothing to do with ns3.
GNS3 / dynamips is for Cisco* files only, AFAIK.
