problem in booting fc4..

i've installed XP then tried installing fc4.. installation was successful. then went into mounting my win drives(again successful). But later when i booted my system(choosing fc4), i was not able to boot in properly.it juz hung up with fc4
(my XP was ok).my frds suggested me to wait for some time(which went in for hrs...) or rather reboot the sys(which they did when this occured).. but tht never happ'ed to me.. only way out was to re-inst fc4..
could anybody suggest me what the EXACT prob is??????

I think it is because of your display resoluton problem. Your system has successfully boot into it, but only that, your monitor can't have the display. So, maybe you should wait for a while when the screen goes blank. Then estimate some time for it to reach until the login screen. Then press CTRL + F1 to go for the console. From there, you can edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. Under the section "screen", Change the modes to , let say "800x600". Just try and error lah. Wish you good luck.

That's why i prefer keeping init level '3' instead of '5' for my slackware. So that if there occurs some problem with mouse or keyboard or screen, i can always solve that through console.
